Born in the small village of Ujjwalan near Jaisalmer in 1965 Indar was offered to follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a police man. Instead, in 1984 he went to Jaisalmer and started his work in tourism, opening a small guesthouse from which he organized camel safaris around Jaisalmer until 1986, when he founded the Adventure Travel Agency.

With the founding of the Adventure Travel Agency a first jeep was purchased and the starting point of the safaris was moved to a camp outside of Jaisalmer into non-touristic areas, a high priority of the Company until this date.
In 1987 the Adventure Travel Agency was registered with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and in 1998 with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. |

Being an avid traveller and volunteer worker worldwide himself, Indar is bound to understand the needs and wishes of his customers and new routes for the safaris are developed and itineraries are updated regularly, often following suggestions of his clients.
His office near the Fort Gate is therefore frequently a centre of information, help and assistance to the traveller, whatever the troubles and questions may be. Helping is one of Indar’s passions, special queries welcome!
