Christmas Safari 2010

Come and join us for a 3-day, 2-night Camel Safari, commencing on Christmas Eve. What better way to spend Christmas Eve than sleeping under the stars (you may even see Santa and Rudolf). Wholesome food and mineral/filtered water are provided free of charge throughout the Safari. There will be a starry party night with traditional folk music, dance, drinks and snacks on the evening of the 24th of December. The party will take place on the beautiful sand dunes 80 km outside of Jaisalmer in a guaranteed tourist-free zone. |

DAY 1 : (The Adventure begins)
| 6 am : |
You leave Jaisalmer from the office of the Adventure Travel Agency (Near Fort First Gate) and drive by jeep to the dunes of Sangar. |

|
| 7 am : |
You arrive at the camp where breakfast will be served as you watch the sunrise. |
| |
|
| 8 am - 12 noon : |
The camel trek will start, visiting three untouched traditional villages. |
| |
|
| 12 noon - 3 pm : |
Stop for lunch and relaxation in the shade of desert trees. |
| |
|
| 3 pm - 5 pm : |
Camel ride to the sand dunes. |
| |
|
| 5 pm : |
Watch the sunset on the dunes, after which the Christmas party will begin. |

DAY 2: (Day at own pace)
| 8 am (flexible) - 12 noon : |
On a camel trek you can enjoy the desert environment, vegetation and wild life. |

| 12 noon - 3 pm : |
Lunch and rest in the shade. |
| |
|
| 3 pm - 5 pm : |
Camel ride to the dunes with optional visit of a Dhani (small village). |
| |
|
| 5 pm : |
Arriving at the dunes for another beautiful sunset and a peaceful night under the stars. |

DAY 3: (The Adventure concludes)
| 7 am : |
Enjoy another sunrise and breakfast on the dunes. |
| |
|
| 8 am - 12 noon : |
Camel ride into remote areas of the desert with optional visit to villages. |
| |
|
| 12 noon - 3 pm : |
Lunch and rest in the shade. |
| |
|
| 3 pm - 5 pm : |
Camel riding and galloping through the country side. |
| |
|
| 5 pm : |
Pick up and return journey by jeep to Jaisalmer. |

| 6 pm : |
The Christmas Adventure ends for this year – hope to see you all again next year! |

At least 10 people are required for the Christmas Party to be organized; the Christmas Safari will take place independent of number of bookings (it is advisable to book well in advance!) |
